You may feel some pressure, pinching or brief discomfort while the filler is being administered, although this varies between patients. Your clinician will talk you through the procedure and ensure you are comfortable before treatment begins.

You may notice an improvement in the depth of your nose-to-mouth lines immediately after treatment, although some initial swelling can temporarily affect the appearance of the area while it settles.

Nasolabial fold filler can typically last around 6–24 months. Longevity varies between patients depending on factors including the dermal filler used, the amount required, facial movement, metabolism and whether the area has been treated previously.

Most patients can return to their usual daily activities following treatment, although temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising may occur around the injection sites.

We recommend avoiding high-intensity exercise and heavy alcohol consumption immediately after treatment, with no make-up applied to the treated area for at least 24 hours. Saunas, steam rooms, significant heat and extended UV exposure should be avoided for approximately one week.
