Chemical Peel

Chemical peel treatment to resurface and brighten uneven skin tone.

What is A chemical peel?

Rejuvenates the skin, leaving it glowing, bright and soft

The Mandelic Acid 40% peel we use is a gentle organic acid that has an anti‐inflammatory effect on acne.

It’s gentler compared to the other acids because its molecule size is twice as big, so it takes longer to penetrate the skin and is, therefore less likely to cause irritation.

Because it’s gentler than other acids it’s suitable for even the most sensitive of skins, and is especially good for those with darker skin tones who are genetically prone to pigmentation and melasma.

  • A chemical peel works by accelerating cell turnover, dissolving the tiny bonds that hold skin cells together and helping to remove dead skin from the surface.

We use a high-quality chemical peel solution that is safe, effective and easy to control.

  • A typical course of chemical peel treatment is between 3-6 sessions, depending on your skin type and concerns.

For more advanced cases, we recommend that after completing a Mandelic Acid 40% peel, your treatment is followed by a Dermapen™ treatment. This can help to further lift and tighten the skin, as well as stimulate the natural healing process.

  • Following your chemical peel treatment, Ameson Repair Gel and SPF 30 or SPF 50 are strongly recommended to help protect the skin and support the healing process.

Avoid sun exposure and sunbeds after your chemical peel, as the skin will be more sensitive. You should also avoid extreme exercise immediately after treatment.
